Alumni Relations

Overview

The main objective of the Alumni Relations Office is to establish and maintain an ongoing mutually beneficial relationship between the University of KwaZulu-Natal and its 132 000 plus graduates (both locally and internationally) that will result in alumni support of University affairs and activities and be of positive benefit to the graduates. 

This objective is achieved through the co-ordination of a series of social events and workshops, a number of personal visits to alumni, an electronic newsletter, bi-annual editions of the alumnus publication: UKZNTouch, the website, Facebook and Twitter an updated Database and networking/partnerships with Colleges, Units and Statutory Bodies of the University. 

The Alumni Relations Office assists University Departments and Faculties in making contact with alumni by providing updated contact details of their particular graduates, through distributing specific Department/Faculty information to alumni via email, the alumni web page and in hard-copy format as well as through joint initiatives and an advisory service.
